《Reuters》報導，美國德州洪水成災造成至少 17 人死亡，當局警告可能還有一波水災來襲。
美國國家氣象局警告休士頓可能面臨另一波洪水攻擊。休士頓是美國人口第四多的城市，近日德州突如其來的暴雨將整個城市變得彷彿是座大湖。陣亡將士紀念日當天休士頓降雨量累積近 11 吋( 28公分) 高，當局趕緊出動直升機搶救受困車頂或樓頂的民眾。
德州警方目前則持續疏散達拉斯一座水庫附近居民，以免遭受洪災攻擊。搜救人員則持續在災區尋找罹難者遺體，據傳目前德州、奧克拉荷馬州已有至少17人死亡。
官方預估死亡人數還會持續上升，因為還有許多失蹤居民未被找到。休士頓緊急應變局發言人Michael Walter表示：「現在我們鄰近大部分社區都還泡在水裡。」
